Based on, and fully licensed by the TED Conference, the first TEDxBrighton was created to share ‘ideas worth spreading’. TEDxBrighton 2011, hosted 12 live speakers from a range of backgrounds, interests, disciplines and perspectives, combined with some classic TED talks.
To secure extensive media interest in the launch event and key dates when registration started and secure a full capacity event.
A tailored media awareness campaign kicked off by securing a local media partner and creating news announcements based on key events, such as confirmed new speakers and the TEDxBrighton registration process opening. Working closely with the speakers we ensured strong content was made available to key opinion formers, securing a high media attendance.
